Three Falcons Named to Daktronics All-Southeast Region First Team

MONTEVALLO, Ala. – The University of Montevallo men’s soccer team (18-2-2) was awarded three spots on the Daktronics All-Southeast Region First Team. Senior Nathaniel Foster (Brampton, Ontario/Humberview Secondary School), senior Milan Pualic (Subotica, Serbia/Srednja Ekonosmka Skola School) and senior Austin McIntosh (Sheffield, England/All Saint Catholic) were all named to the First Team.

Foster ranks fourth in the NCAA in total goals (18), seventh in total points (40), 10th in goals per game (0.9) and 13th in points per game (2.0). Pualic ranks 15th in the NCAA in total assists (9) while McIntosh is part of a defense that ranks 22nd in goals against average (0.83) and 40th in shutout percentage (0.41).

In the PBC Foster ranks first in shots (65), points (40), points per game (2.00), goals (18) and goals per game (0.90). He also ranks second in shots per game (3.25) and game-winning goals (4). Pualic ranks first in assists (9) and assists per game (0.47), fourth in points (25) and goals (8) and fifth in points per game (1.32) and goals per game (0.42) in the PBC.

This is the first Daktronics All-Region award for Foster and McIntosh and second for Pualic who was named First Team All-South Region in 2008.

All three will now advance to the national ballot for All-American voting.

The Daktronics NCAA Division II all-Southeast Region Teams are voted on by the sports information directors of the Southeast Region. The region is comprised of the Conference Carolinas, the Peach Belt Conference, and the South Atlantic Conference, in addition to independents King College (Tenn.) and North Greenville University.
