Flyers play first exhibition on Saturday at Valparaiso
ROMEOVILLE, Ill. – The Lewis women’s basketball team received two votes in the preseason 2010-11 USA TODAY/ESPN Division II Top 25 women's basketball poll, released on Wednesday.
Arkansas Tech holds the top spot in the country. Great Lakes Valley Conference teams Indianapolis and Drury are ranked 10th and 16th, respectively. UW-Parkside, Southern Indiana and Northern Kentucky join Lewis at GLVC teams receiving votes.
“It’s nice to be on the national radar to start the season,” Lewis head coach Lisa Carlsen said. “However to stay in the national picture we’ll have to prove it on the court."
Lewis plays an exhibition against Valparaiso on Saturday at 1:35 p.m.
