Mana Hopkins led HPU with 23 points on 5-12 shooting, making 12 of her 16 free throw attempts. Paris Gravely recorded 15 points with Skye Savini adding 10 points.
Briana Sloper paced STAC with 20 points and eight rebounds.
The Lady Sea Warriors rebounded nicely after a three-game road skid. They broke a 14-14 tie early in the first half to pace to a 40-28 halftime lead. The Spartans cut into the lead on several occasions in the second half, but after a Gravely layup with 8:40 remaining, HPU had a 72-52 lead.
Mikela Thoemmes and Jazzmin Awa-Williams added eight points and four rebounds, with Awa-Williams notching four assists.
HPU returns to the court Sunday, December 5, for a non-conference matchup against UH-Hilo. Start time at the Neal Blaisdell Center is set for 1:00 p.m.
