Attempts to Record First Winning Road Record Since 2003
The Gannon football team, ranked 10th in the latest Eastern College Athletic Conference (ECAC) Lambert Meadowlands Division II Poll, concludes the road portion of its schedule Saturday, November 6 at Slippery Rock. Game time is scheduled for 1 p.m.
Gannon can clinch back-to-back winning seasons for the first time since 1995 with a victory. A positive result would also produce the program's first winning road record since 2003.
The Gannon-Slippery Rock series has been hotly contested. All four meetings since Gannon reinstated football in 1989 have been decided by one score. Three of the last four have been decided by three points or less. The Golden Knights won a 51-48 shootout last season at Gannon University Field.
