Cal State Monterey Bay Volleyball Remains Steady At Sixth In Region Poll

SEASIDE, Calif. – For the third week in a row, the Cal State Monterey Bay women’s volleyball team is ranked sixth in the west region poll released this afternoon.
The Otter volleyball squad welcomes Cal State Stanislaus on Thursday, Nov. 11.  The Warriors (12-13, 9-11 CCAA) started off their conference schedule strong, with a 6-2 record but fell into a slump at the end of the first half break.  They have won just three of their last 12 matches.

On Friday, the Otters will have a short ceremony to honor seniors Dana Grimm and Kami Ward prior to their match against Chico State.  The Wildcats (12-14, 7-13 CCAA) are 10th in the California Collegiate Athletic Association (CCAA) standings.

The top eight teams in each of the nation's eight regions will receive bids to the 2010 NCAA Division II Women's Volleyball Championships that begins on Friday, Nov. 18. The tournament field will be announced on Monday, Nov. 15, on www.ncaa.com.
