Little’s 20 points paces WT in second win of season

The win lifts WTAMU to 2-0 on the year, while Newman’s record evens at 1-1.

The Buffaloes led by seven points, 42-35, at the 15:45 mark of the second half, only to see the Jets regain the lead late in the contest.

Finding themselves on the short end of a 58-54 margin and just 3:29 to play in regulation, the Buffs scored the final four points of regulation to tie the game.  A pair of Courtney Carr (Jr-TR, Selma, Ala.) free throws cut the margin to two points.  Houston, Texas, native Lionel Foster’s layup at 2:27 tied the score at 58-58 and were the final points scored during regulation play.

WT outrebounded the Jets by a 52-34 margin.  In addition to Mincey and Davis having nine rebounds apiece, Jacquiese Holcombe (Sr-1L, College Park, Ga.) and Carr each grabbed seven rebounds.
