#1 Minnesota Duluth Downs Minnesota, Crookston 55-7 in NSIC Play

(Crookston, Minn.)- The University of Minnesota, Crookston Football team hosted #1 ranked Minnesota Duluth today at Ed Widseth Field on the UMC campus. Brekken played his last game at Ed Widseth Field following a career that has spanned about seven years from when he played at Ed Widseth Field during his high school career in Crookston. The defense also forced two fumbles and recovered both. Offensively, senior Tim Ennis (QB, 6-2, 210, Sr, Lancaster, Calif.) completed nine passes for 100 yards with a long of 32 yards. Senior, tight end, Chris Clay (TE, 6-6, 220, Sr, Ypsilanti, Mich.) led the receiving core with two catches for 62 yards including the team-long of 32 yards. Keith McBride (RB, 5-11, 195, So, Lodi, Wis.) rushed 18 times for 30 yards and one touchdown. The two yard score in the fourth quarter capped off a nine play, 66 yard drive that took 5:21.
