UCSD's Brunsting Named Daktronics Women's Volleyball Honorable Mention All-American

LA JOLLA, Calif. - UC San Diego's Roxanne Brunsting added another title to her resumé Thursday as she was named a Daktronics Women's Volleyball Honorable Mention All-American.

Brunsting, a junior outside hitter/setter, led the Tritons in service aces, was second on the team in kills, points and assists and third in digs. She was seventh in the CCAA in aces and ninth in digs and posted six triple-double performances this season. Brunsting began setting for the first time in her career this season.

Also this season, the Chula Vista native was named AVCA Honorable Mention All-American, AVCA All-West Region, a Daktronics West Region All-Star First Team member and an All-CCAA First Team pick.

Brunsting was an AVCA honorable mention pick as a libero in 2009.

UCSD finished its season at 19-9 and advanced to its fifth consecutive CCAA Tournament.
