GOLDEN, Colo. (Nov. 19, 2010) – Colorado School of Mines (NCAA Division II) defeated Concordia University (NAIA; Portland, Ore.) by the score of 94-61 in collegiate men’s basketball action on Friday night, November 19th, at Lockridge Arena.
All five CSM starters reached double figures in scoring, including Sean Armstrong (10-of-11 FG), who made 4-of-5 three-point FG attempts and led all players with 24 points. Dale Minschwaner recorded a 17-point, 10-rebound double-double while Gordon Galloway had 13 points and nine boards. Armstrong (two blocked shots) and Chris Goutama (five steals) had eight assists apiece, and Brett Green (five assists) and Drew Hoffman contributed 10 and 11 points, respectively. The Orediggers shot 64.5% (40-of-62) from the floor while improving to 2-0 overall.
The Cavaliers (3-2 overall) got 17 points from Kevan West.
The Orediggers will square off against The Evergreen State College (NAIA; Olympia, Wash.) on Saturday, November 20th, at 5:00 p.m. at the Auraria Event Center on the campus of Metro State.
Mines will then return home to host Saint Martin’s University (NCAA Division II; Lacey, Wash.) on Saturday night, November 27th, at 7:00 p.m. at Lockridge Arena.
