Men’s Cross Country Puts Three on All-PBC Academic Team

MILLEDGEVILLE, Ga. – The Georgia College men’s cross country team put three on the All-Peach Belt Conference (PBC) Academic Team as announced by the conference Thursday, Oct. 28.

The three positions lead the all-academic team with UNC Pembroke’s two being the next.

Junior Daniel Horseman (Cohutta, Ga.) owns the teams best GPA with a 3.72 in pre-outdoor education. Senior Erik Ottoson (Suwanee, Ga.) is the only senior on the squad for Georgia College with a 3.33 GPA in management and sophomore Nick Widener (Newnan, Ga.) completes the list for the Bobcats achieving a 3.45 GPA in pre-mass communication.

To be eligible for the all-academic team, a student-athlete must participate in at least half of his/her team’s events and be either a starter or significant contributor, achieved a 3.30 cumulative grade point average (on a 4.0 scale) and completed at least one full academic year at his or her current institution.

The Bobcats are back in action Nov. 6 at 9 a.m. at the Peach Belt Conference (PBC) Championships in Evans, Ga.
