Five UCO players earn All-LSC soccer recognition

WICHITA FALLS, Texas (Nov. 3) – Central Oklahoma had five players earn All-Lone Star Conference recognition, it was announced by league officials at the LSC Championship Awards Banquet here Wednesday night.

Junior fullback McKenzie Caldwell and junior midfielder Ashton Morris picked up first-team All-LSC honors, while sophomore forward Brittni Walker was a second-team choice.  Sophomore midfielders Dominique Dinka and Summer Grantham were both honorable mention selections.

The banquet was held on the eve of the Lone Star Conference Soccer Championships, which begin with two games Thursday.  The Bronchos take on Incarnate Word at 2:30 p.m. in the second match of the day.

Caldwell was an honorable mention pick last year and has been UCO’s leading defender all season, while Morris earned honorable mention honors the past two years before breaking through this season.  She has scored 11 points with four goals and three assists.

Walker was a second-team honoree for the second consecutive season.  She leads the Bronchos with 21 points, having scored eight goals and added five assists.
