Array and Irdoja Fall At ITA Indoors; Muller-Wehlau, Krtickova Win

FLUSHING, N.Y. - The Armstrong Atlantic State University men's doubles team of seniors Rafael Array and Mikk Irdoja dropped just one break point in falling 8-5 to Texas' Jean Andersen and Ed Corrie in the USTA/ITA National Indoor Championships quarterfinals on Friday morning in Flushing, N.Y.

The Pirates had five break points but could not capitalize against the Longhorns duo, while Texas' pair claimed the only break opportunity to earn the win in the match.

On the women's side, senior Alida Muller-Wehlau and freshman Barbora Krtickova bounced back from their opening-round loss to earn an 8-5 win over Paige Miles and Anastasia Putillina of Utah on Friday morning in the doubles consolation round. The duo will play in the doubles consolation final against either Hillary Barte and Mallory Burdette of Stanford or Maria Fuccillo and Rashmi Teltumbde of Virginia on Sunday.
