West Texas A&M men's basketball notes

Attached are West Texas A&M men’s basketball notes for their game Saturday, Dec. 4 vs. Southwestern Oklahoma State.

Tipoff at First United Bank Center is set for 6 p.m. CST.

Buffaloes Open LSC Play – The West Texas A&M Buffaloes remain in LSC crossover action as they host Southwestern Oklahoma State, Saturday, Dec. 4, with tipoff set for 6 p.m. CST. The game will be broadcast on KGNC-AM 710, with Phil Woodall mikeside, beginning 30 minutes prior to tipoff.

The Records – West Texas A&M is 5-0, overcome a 15-point first half deficit to defeat Cameron, 76-67, in overtime, Thursday evening. WT will be looking for its best start since the 1972-73 and 1928-29 campaigns, when the Buffs opened the year at 6-0. Southwestern Oklahoma State is 6-2, having defeated Eastern New Mexico, 77-75, Thursday evening in Portales, N.M.

Series History – WT holds a 25-14 advantage in the series with SWOSU and swept a pair of contests played last season, winning, 74-56, on Nov. 28, 2009 in Canyon, Texas, before taking an 80-72 decision on Dec. 12 in Weatherford, Okla.
