Pitt-Johnstown Wrestlers Up to No. 9 In NWCA Nat'l. Poll

Head Coach Pat Pecora's Mountain Cat wrestling team, 2-0 on the year, climbed from No. 14 to No. 9 in the initial NCAA Division II National Wrestling Coaches Association (NWCA) Regular National Poll released on Wednesday.  2010 National Qualifier Ryan Link (Cresson, Pa.) is ranked No. 3 at 133 lbs, while returning All-American Chris Dempsey (Sewickley, Pa.) is ranked No. 6 at heavyweight... Link, who was a National Qualifier at 125 lbs. as a red-shirt freshman last year, moved from No. 6 to No. 3 at 133 lbs.  Dempsey, a three-time National Qualifier and 2010 All-American, slipped from No. 4 to No. 6 at Heavyweight.

Two-time defending National Champion University of Nebraska-Omaha, St. Cloud State (Minn.) and Augustana (S.D.) held on to the top-three-spots in the poll.
