HPU’s Chance Bukoski Named NSCAA All-Region

Kansas City, KS (12/9/10) – Chance Bukoski of the HPU men’s soccer team was named to the 2010 National Soccer Coaches Association of America Division II All-West Region Team. The announcement came from the NSCAA national office.

Bukoski, a junior forward from Kapaa, HI, earned a Second Team honor after a stellar season in which he produced 13 goals and eight assists. He finished the year second in the PacWest in total points (34), game-winners (5), points per game (2.12), goals and goals per game (0.81), and topped the league in assists and in assists per game (0.50).

Bukoski’s All-Region selection was his first after being named First-Team All-PacWest for three consecutive seasons. He guided the Sea Warriors to a 12-6 overall record and a second place conference finish for the third straight season. Bukoski was the lone player selected from the Hawai‘i schools.

The NSCAA is the largest soccer coaches’ organization in the world. In addition to a national rankings program for colleges and high schools, the NSCAA offers an extensive recognition program that presents nearly 10,000 individual awards every year.
