The breakdown of the selections for the Hounds is as follows: quarterback (1), wide receiver (4), running back (1), offensive line (4), defensive line (2), linebacker (3), defensive back (3) and specialist (2).
The First Team Offense for the All-LSC North Division included five Greyhounds: Wood, Jessie Poku (Sr., WR, Murphy, Texas/Richardson HS), Darian Dale (Jr., WR, Bay City, Texas/Bay City HS), Adam Robinson (Jr., RT, Lubbock, Texas/Lubbock Cooper HS) and Taylor Cannon (Jr., PK/P, Los Lunas, N.M./Los Lunas HS). The First Team Defense included six ENMU players: Bracy McCoy (So., DE, Freeport, Texas/Brazosport HS), Matt Kalisch (Sr., DE, Harker Heights, Texas/Harker Heights HS/NMMI), Nathan Uland (Sr., LB, Denton, Texas/Ryan HS), Devin Sweet (Sr., OLB, Clovis, N.M./Clovis HS), Tillman Stevens (Sr., DB, Baytown, Texas/Sterling HS) and Karlton Graves (Sr., LS, Brownwood, Texas/Brownwood HS).
Wood finished ninth in the entire NCAA Division II in total offense and guided the 16th-most prolific passing game in the country, connecting for 301.64 yards per game through the air. He posted a 61.2 percent completion percentage with 3,318 yards and 30 touchdowns. He tossed seven touchdowns in the season opener against Southern Nazarene and followed with a 437-yard, five-touchdown performance against Texas A&M-Commerce.
Poku is the top receiver in ENMU history, setting career records for receptions, receiving yards and receiving touchdowns, in addition to the single-season reception record. As a senior, he caught three touchdowns in games against Southern Nazarene and Central Oklahoma and topped the 100-yard mark on four occasions, including a 12-catch, 180-yard, three-touchdown outing at Northeastern State. Poku finished tied for 12th in the country in receptions per game.
Dale hauled in 65 receptions for 704 yards and five touchdowns and was 35th in the country in catches per game. He hauled in five or more receptions in eight games, including a seven-catch, 109-yard game with a touchdown at Northeastern State.
Adam Robinson started 10 games for the Hounds at right tackle helping elevate the offense to 24th in the nation in total offense and 26th in scoring offense. His presence helped the Greyhounds reduce their sack total by nearly a full sack per game from last season, while paving the way for seven 100-yard rushing performances in the final eight games.
Cannon, a three-time winner of the Fred Mitchell Outstanding placekicker award, also made Second Team All-LSC North as a punter. He finished fourth in the LSC in scoring (7.6 ppg) and 14th in the nation in field goals. Cannon connected on 45 of his 46 PAT kicks and had three games with multiple field goals. Against Southeastern Oklahoma State, Cannon connected on all four attempts. He also averaged over 40 yards on his 34 punts, with eight kicks going at least 50 yards, pinning the opposition inside their own 20-yard line on three occasions.
McCoy registered four sacks, including two against Texas A&M-Commerce and forced a fumble at Southwestern Oklahoma. He had multiple tackles for a loss in three games, including 3.5 at SWOSU.
Kalisch garnered LSC North Defensive Player of the Week after the opening win and generated seven quarterback hurries against Texas A&M-Commerce. He finished with a team-high 9.5 sacks, good for third in the LSC and 15th in the nation. In a win over Southeastern Oklahoma, he recorded 2.5 sacks. Kalisch also blocked a kick against Southwestern Oklahoma.
Uland, a preseason All-American, tied for 28th in the nation in tackles and finished third in the Lone Star Conference. Averaging nearly a full tackle for a loss per game, he tied for 14th in the LSC in that category. Uland made 15 tackles including eight solos against nationally ranked Midwestern State and reached double figures in three other games.
Sweet registered interceptions in wins over Southern Nazarene and at Tarleton State. He registered s career-best 10 tackles against Midwestern State and was constantly a force around the ball.
Stevens finished eighth in the country in tackles and tied for 14th in interceptions. His six interceptions tied for the LSC high. Stevens made three interceptions against Central Oklahoma, returning one 62 yards for a score. He also made 10 tackles in that game, earning LSC North and D2Football.com Player of the Week honors for his efforts. Stevens reached double figures in tackles in seven straight games, including a career-best 18 against Southeastern Oklahoma.
Graves was selected first team as a long snapper and second team as a left tackle. Graves did an outstanding job with his long snaps on punts and placekicking attempts. He also helped reduce the number of sacks given up by the Hounds’ offense by nearly a full sack per game and paved the way for a productive running game.
Garnering Second Team All-LSC North honors were: Carl Bouldin (Jr., WR, San Antonio, Texas/Converse Judson HS), TJ Cleavinger (Sr., OG, Garland, Texas/Naaman Forrest HS), Graves, Curtis Jackson (Jr., CB, College Station, Texas/A&M-Consolidated HS) and Cannon.
Honorable Mention honorees were: Tony Valenzuela (Sr., FB, Seagraves HS), Ryan Torres (Sr., C, Fort Worth, Texas/North Crowley HS), Perron Sellers (Jr., LB, La Marque, Texas/La Marque HS/Fullerton JC).
