INDIANAPOLIS --- For a third straight week, the Tusculum College volleyball team is listed third in the NCAA Division II Southeast Region rankings.

The Pioneers (22-5, 16-2 SAC) are one of seven South Atlantic Conference teams listed in this week’s poll.

The top five teams remain the same in this week’s poll with Wingate holding down the top spot, followed by Flagler, Tusculum, Lincoln Memorial and Montevallo.  Carson-Newman climbed a spot to No. 6, while Catawba is ranked for the first time this year at No. 7.  Lees-McRae fell two spots to eight, while Anderson and Lenoir-Rhyne each dropped one and are listed ninth and 10th, respectively.

Tusculum has posted a combined 10-3 record against teams listed in this week’s rankings.

The tournament champions for the SAC, Peach Belt Conference and Conference Carolinas earned an automatic bid to the eight-team Southeast Regional, while five at-large berths will also be awarded.

Tusculum will close out its regular season this Saturday when the Pioneers travel to Augusta State for a 1 p.m. match.
