Missouri Western Volleyball falls 3-0 against No. 8 Ranked Jennies

WARRENSBURG, Mo. – For the second straight night the Griffons fell on the road in three straight sets in MIAA action. This time the Griffons fell against the 8th ranked Central Missouri Jennies by scores of 25-12, 25-18 and 25-18. Western falls to 12-15 overall and 8-10 in MIAA action.

Western struggled in the match against the Jennies accumulating just 29 kills while hitting .176. The Griffons had 27 set assists and 26 digs in the match. Western had just seven kills in set one and improved the next two sets with 10 and 12 respectively.

Kelli Sicner led the way with eight kills while Stephanie Hattey had 16 set assists and Meghan Voelz led the way with 12 digs.

The Jennies had 48 kills in the match hitting .443 with Taylor Goodness and Paula Harris each recording 10. UCM had 42 set assists with Julia Bates recording 32 assists while Rachel Fister had 17 of the Jennies 46 digs. The Jennies improve to 27-4 overall and 17-2 in MIAA play.

The Griffons will return to action on Wednesday, November 10 when they travel to Maryville, Mo. to take on rival Northwest Missouri State Bearcats. First serve is set for 7:00 pm in Bearcat Arena.
