Minnesota State Remains #16 in AVCA Top-25 Poll Heading into NCAA Tournament

Mavericks Stand 20-7 Overall, 12-7 NSIC

Lexington, Kentucky -- The Minnesota State volleyball team moved up to #16 after receiving 325 points in the American Volleyball Coaches Association (AVCA) Top-25 poll.

MSU is one of five Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference schools ranked in the top-25. Other NSIC schools include: #1 Concordia-St. Paul, #3 Wayne State, #4 Southwest Minnesota State and #7 Minnesota Duluth.

The Minnesota State volleyball squad, ranked 16th in the nation, owns a 20-7 overall record and are 12-7 in Northern Sun Intercollegaite Conference matches.

The Minnesota State volleyball team, ranked 16th in the nation, will make its eighth appearance in the NCAA Division II Volleyball Tournament. The seventh-seeded Mavericks begin the 64-team tournament when they travel to Marshall, Minn. to take on the second-seeded Concordia University Golden Bears, who are ranked first in the nation. The seventh-seeded Mavericks and second-seeded Concordia University Golden bears will face-off Thursday, Nov. 18 at 12:00 p.m. in Marshall, Minn.
