Merrimack Keeps Rolling With 3-0 Win at Franklin Pierce

RINDGE, N.H.- The Merrimack volleyball team claimed its sixth-consecutive victory of the season, downing Franklin Pierce 3-0 Tuesday evening in a non-conference match. The Warriors improved to 11-13 overall with the win while the Ravens fell to 10-11 on the year.

Merrimack cruised through the first set, 25-17, to take a 1-0 advantage. The Warriors edged out Franklin Pierce in set two with a 25-21 win. The visitors closed out the set with a 25-16 victory in the third set.

Molly Cindric (Westlake Village, CA) posted a double-double with 14 kills and 13 digs in the match to lead Merrimack. Megan Murray (Rancho Santa Margarita, CA) added 10 kills and Jenna Riley (Northport, NY) registered nine. Elyse Lorenz (Frankfort, IL) dished out 23 assists and Brianna Trabucco (Canton, MA) contributed 10 helpers while Alyssa Pickert (Tinley Park, IL) recorded 16 digs and a pair of aces.

“Our team brought their ‘A’ game again tonight,” said head coach Joey Pacis. “They’ve been playing better and better every match and we’ll need to keep it up for the remainder of the season.”

The Warriors will look to increase their winning-streak to seven matches as they close out the regular-season. In the final home match of the 2010 campaign, Merrimack will host Assumption in a Northeast-10 Conference tilt November 6.
