Memphis, Tenn. – Lynn University men’s soccer player Kyle Conrad was honored as a Daktronics First Team All-South Region selection on Tuesday afternoon. Now eligible for All-America recognition, he was the lone representative on a Fighting Knights squad that went 8-8 overall and 2-6 in the Sunshine State Conference.
A senior midfielder out of Jensen Beach, Fla., Conrad led LU with 11 goals and four assists for 26 points. He ranked in the top-three of the Sunshine State Conference for goals and top-10 in points and was a Second Team All-SSC selection. Conrad also moved up the ranks in the Fighting Knights’ record book as he became just the fourth player in program history to rack up 100 career points while also tying for fourth with 39 goals
In addition to his success on the field, Conrad has been an exemplary student. He was the first student-athlete in school history, for any sport, to garner First Team ESPN Academic All-District accolades three times and was an ESPN Third Team Academic All-American last season.
Voting for the 2010 Daktronics NCAA Division II South Region Men’s Soccer Team was powered by ATHLETICSITE.COM and voted on by regional members of D2-SIDA.
