MILLEDGEVILLE, Ga. – Senior Chimere Jordan (Gray, Ga.) of the Georgia College women’s basketball team (5-0) was named the Bobcat Athlete of the Week for the week ending Nov. 28. This marks the second such honor for both Jordan and the Bobcat women.
Jordan finished the week with a team high 52 points, averaging 17.3 points and 8.3 rebounds per game. She was 17-of-49 (.347) from the field and 6-of-16 (.375) from beyond the arc. Jordan recorded a double-double against Trevecca Nazarene University Friday, scoring 18 points and grabbing 10 boards. She nearly had one to start the week, grabbing nine rebounds with her 17 points and six steals in the win over the University of West Georgia Tuesday. She got another 17 points and six boards against St. Augustine’s College Saturday. She grabbed 25 total rebounds, dished out nine assists and only had six turnovers (1.5 A/T).
The Bobcats are back in action Saturday, Dec. 4 at 1:30 p.m., opening up the Peach Belt Conference (PBC) season by hosting No. 2 Lander University.
