FSU’S KESTNER NAMED CIAA OFFENSIVE LINEMAN OF THE WEEK

Two-time All-CIAA selection anchors Broncos’ line at center

FAYETTEVILLE, NC – Fayetteville State center Dillon Kestner has been honored by the CIAA as the league’s Offensive Lineman of the Week for the final week of the regular season.

Kestner (Durham, NC), a 6-foot-2, 291-pound senior at FSU, anchored an offensive line that amassed 439 total yards, 309 of which came on the ground, in a 44-27 victory over Virginia Union in the Broncos' season finale on Saturday. It was the third straight game that the Broncos have rushed for more than 300 yards.

Kestner was honored before his final home game with the program’s eight other seniors. He is a two-time All-CIAA selection, and in his time at FSU, Kestner has helped the Broncos claim their third CIAA title, make their third appearance in the NCAA Division II playoffs and has racked up a 26-15 record in CIAA play.
