CHICO The 2010-11 edition of the Chico State men¹s basketball team kicks off the regular season in just two weeks, and this Sunday will play its lone exhibition game against the University of Pacific. Fans who are anxious for an advance look at the Wildcats will get their chance Saturday when the team hosts its annual Red/White Scrimmage, beginning at 3 p.m. in Acker Gym.
The Red/White Scrimmage is free and open to the public, and is a great chance to get a sneak peek of this season¹s Wildcats in action. The ¹Cats will divide into two teams and battle each other in preparation for the upcoming season.
Following the scrimmage, the men¹s basketball team will host a social event upstairs at Madison Bear Gardens on the corner of 2nd and Salem Streets in downtown Chico. The event is open to the public; it¹s a great opportunity to meet and talk with the Chico State coaching staff. Several Wildcat basketball alumni will also be on hand. Appetizers will be provided.
Sunday¹s Chico State-UOP exhibition game will tip off at 5 p.m. Sunday at the Alex G. Spanos Center in Stockton.
