EVANS, Ga. – The University of Montevallo men’s cross country team finished seventh at its first ever Peach Belt Conference Championship race. UM was led by freshman Mark McDonald (Auburn, Ala./Auburn) who ran the 8k course with a time of 27:59.6. He finished in 30th place.
The next four Falcon runners finished very close together in 41st, 42nd, 44th and 45th. Freshman Matthew Corn (Brandon, Miss./Northwest Rankin) came across 41st with a time of 29:30.6. Freshman Adam Weil (Syracuse, N.Y./Northwestern) came in 42nd with a time of 29:40.0 while freshman Justin Arsement (Lafayette, La./Acadiana) finished 44th with a time of 29:48.2. Freshman Nick Davidson (Spanish Fort, Ala./Spanish Fort) finished 45th with a time of 30:36.9.
The final Falcon finisher was freshman Evan Brock (Fairhope, Ala./Fairhope) who finished 56th with a time of 34:04.4.
The Falcons finished ahead of Francis Marion University and Armstrong Atlantic State University. Columbus State University won the event with four runners finishing in the top 10.
