Falcons Close Out Season at NCAA Southeast Region Race

CHARLOTTE, N.C. – The University of Montevallo men’s cross country team sent three representatives to the NCAA Southeast Region Championship. Freshmen Mark McDonald (Auburn, Ala./Auburn), Matthew Corn (Brandon, Miss./Northwest Rankin) and Justin Arsement (Lafayette, La./Acadiana) all competed in the meet with McDonald leading the way.

McDonald finished 76th overall with a time of 34:54.6 while Corn finished 121st with a time of 37:10.1 and Arsement finished 127th with a time of 37:42.0.

The Falcons did not have five runners so they did not submit a team score but Queens won the event with an overall score of 36. The top PBC team was Columbus State who finished second.

The Falcons return all of their runners next year and will continue to train during the off season to prepare for a tough 2011 season.
