Seedings and Times Set for 2010 CCAA Soccer Tournament

WALNUT CREEK – The seedings and game times for the 2010 California Collegiate Athletic Association (CCAA) Men’s and Women’s Soccer Championships have been set following the conclusion of the regular season.


The tournament is scheduled for November 5-7 at Warrior Stadium on the campus of Cal State Stanislaus in Turlock.

The eight-team event begins on Friday, Nov. 5 when No. 1 seed and South Division Champion Cal State San Bernardino (13-4-1, 11-4-1) takes on No. 3 seed Sonoma State (12-5-1, 10-5-1) at 11 a.m. North Division Champion and No. 2 seed Chico State (13-5, 11-5) and No. 4 Cal State Dominguez Hills (13-4-2, 10-4-2) will follow at 1 p.m.

The women’s session opens with No. 2 seed UC San Diego (14-2-2, 12-2-2) facing No. 3 seed and North Division winner San Francisco State (11-4-3, 10-4-2) at 4:30 p.m. The day’s final match will feature No. 1 and South Division Champion Cal State L.A. (14-3, 13-3) playing No. 4 seed Cal State Stanislaus (12-5-1, 10-5-1) at 7 p.m.

The men’s championship contest is slated for 11:30 a.m. on Sunday, November 7, with the women’s title match set to begin at 2 p.m.

Two-day tournament passes are $15 for general admission, $8 for students and seniors, and $3 for children under 12. Single-day tickets are $8 for general admission, $5 for students and seniors, and $2 for children under 12.

Men’s Tournament

Women’s Tournament
Game 1: No. 2 UC San Diego vs. No. 3 San Francisco State; 4:30 p.m.
Game 2: No. 1 Cal State L.A. vs. No. 4 Cal State Stanislaus; 7 p.m.

Men’s Championship: 11:30 a.m.
Women’s Championship: 2 p.m.
