PSAC Swimmers of the Week - 2 (Nov. 17)

Clarion sophomore Morgan Oberlander is the PSAC Women's Swimmer of the Week after winning four events in Clarion's dual meet win over Bloomsburg on Saturday.

Oberlander won four events - two individual and two as a part of relays teams - and posted PSAC qualifying times in all four of those events to help Clarion to a 174-118 home dual meet win over Bloomsburg last Saturday. Oberlander won the 100 butterfly in 1:00.10 and the 1000 freestyle in 10:56.70. Her time in the 100 fly was just over a second shy of an NCAA 'B' time while her 1000 free time was just over 8.5 seconds shy of a 'B' time and both were easily under the PSAC standard. She was also a part of the winning 400 medley and 200 freestyle relays teams, with the 400 medley team winning in 4:01.69 and the 200 free team winning in 1:39.67, which was just over three seconds over an NCAA 'B' time.

Clarion's Jon Kofmehl won three events to help his team to a dual meet win last weekend and for his efforts, is the PSAC Men's Swimmer of the Week.

Kofmehl posted wins in two events, which were his two specialty events, and was also part of a winning relay team, in Clarion's 182-114 win over Bloomsburg in a dual meet last Saturday. All of three of his events resulted in PSAC-qualifying times. He won the 100 backstroke in :54.30, just under two seconds shy of NCAA 'B' cut, and he also touched the wall first in the 200 backstroke, winning in 1:59.94. He was also a part of the winning 400 medley relay team that posted a time of 3:34.71.
