Francis Marion (1-0) will battle local-rival Coker College (1-0) at 8 p.m. on Friday in the second game of the doubleheader. UNC Pembroke (1-1) will face St. Andrews Presbyterian College (0-1) in the opener at 6 p.m.
Friday’s FMU vs. Coker contest will be broadcast on WWFN The Fan, 100.1 FM and televised live on Channel 11 of Florence’s Time Warner Cable system as well as streamed on the internet at http://fmu.nmtvsports.com/
Admission for each night is $6 for adults and $4 for students.
The two Peach Belt Conference schools will swap opponents on Saturday with UNCP playing Coker at 6 p.m. and FMU playing St. Andrews at 8 p.m.
Francis Marion leads the all-time series against its Hartsville neighbor 42-11, including a 72-68 overtime win last year. The Patriots have won the last three meetings and eight of the last nine.
FMU leads the all-time series against St. Andrews 15-8.
FMU opened its 2010-11 campaign with a 75-66 victory over Allen University on Tuesday night as junior forward Liki Turner scored 18 points and freshman guard Evrik Gary tallied 17 points.
Zaxby’s, which is celebrating its 20th anniversary, has four Florence locations.
