Agee was named Most Outstanding Player at the 27th Annual Gary Miller Classic last weekend. He was part of a balanced attack that helped Gannon win its 10th Gary Miller Classic title in the last 12 years with victories against 14th-ranked Cedarville (84-71) and Northern Michigan (79-68).
The Niagara Falls, N.Y., native averaged 16 points, 3.5 assists, 2.5 rebounds and 1.5 blocks during his Gannon debut. The redshirt freshman led Gannon in scoring against Cedarville, netting 17 points on 7-of-13 shooting. He added four assists, three rebounds and two blocks against the Yellow Jackets.
Agee ended the tournament with 15 points, three assists and two rebounds in the championship game against Northern Michigan. After NMU had cut a 13-point deficit to 55-54, Agee scored Gannon’s next six points and nine points overall during a 12-4 run that put the game out of reach.
