Domiano named CoSIDA Academic All-District

BEMIDJI, Minn. – Senior defender and co-captain Alysha Domiano (Dayton, Minn.) has been named to the ESPN the Magazine / College Sports Information Directors of America (CoSIDA) College Division Academic All-District Second Team for her efforts on the field and in the classroom. Domiano has anchored the Beaver defense this season, which
has earned eight clean sheets and held opponents to 14 goals so far this season.

This is the second time Domaino has earned Academic All-District honors after being named to the Third Team in 2008. Cristina Egnell was the first to be named to a squad when she was named to the third team in 2004. In 2005, she was named to the first team and Erin Foss earned third-team honors. Megan Wallner was also named to the third team in
2007. Last year Brianna Duff (Jr., Def., Ramsey, Minn.) was named to the third team.

Egnell became just the third student-athlete in Bemidji State athletics history to be named to the Academic All-America First Team in 2005.

Domiano carries a 3.79 cumulative GPA and is currently majoring in mathematics.
