CARY, N.C. - The Gannon men’s cross country team wrapped up its 2010-11 campaign with a 19th-place finish out of 28 teams Saturday afternoon at the NCAA Division II Men’s Cross Country Atlantic Regional hosted by Saint Augustine’s College.
Lock Haven won the men’s team title with 28 points. Shippensburg (49), Edinboro (56), Slippery Rock (182) and East Stroudsburg (201) completed the top five. Gannon finished 19th with 559 points.
Nathan Zondlo of Lock Haven was the men’s individual medalist, winning the 10K race with a time of 31 minutes and 30.8 seconds. Carter Denne (North East, Pa./North East) was Gannon’s top finisher, placing 81st with a time of 35 minutes and 18.4 seconds.
Adam Walker (105th, 35:58.6), C.J. Kennett (108th, 36:09.1), Andy Hellmann (131st, 37:09.1), Mike Holovka (138th, 37:37.3), Drew Tordella (151st, 39:02.0) and Joshua Gibbons (169th, 40:51.7) rounded out Gannon’s scoring team.
