The Falcons were able to close the half strong, though, out-scoring the Fighting Scots 11-0 over the final four minutes of the first half.
The Falcons shot 65 percent in the first half, including 4-of-8 from three-point range. And while total rebounds were even 16-16, the Fighting Scots were able to pound the offensive glass with 11 boards and also shot 8-of-9 from the free throw line to keep the game within reach.
FSU got off to a quick start in the second half by scoring 20 of the first 25 points in the second half and stretching its lead to 59-35 with 13:15 to go. Custis and Thornton sparked the run accounting for 15 of those 20 points. The Falcons continued to stifle the Fighting Scots the rest of the way leading by as many as 49 before the buzzer sounded with the final at 100-53.
