WALTHAM, Mass. -- For the 13th time in her career, Bentley University senior Anne Kaduboski (Dedham/Dedham HS) has been selected as the Women’s Swimming Athlete of the Week in the Northeast-10 Conference.
Kaduboski earned the latest recognition following an outstanding performance Saturday and Sunday in the Northeast-10 Invitational. Her efforts helped the Falcons claim the championship of the six-team meet.
During the two-day event, Kaduboski broke her own school record in the 100 yard backstroke, her time of 1:00.04 improving on the mark she set in February 2009 by 0.33 seconds, and achieved two NCAA “B” cut times. She improved on the B cut she posted earlier this season with a time of 2:06.21, and also cracked the list in the 100 fly (58.22).
Kaduboski, who has participated in the NCAA Division II Championships each of the last two years and was an honorable mention All-America last March, finished first in the 200 backstroke (pool record 2:06.95) and the 200 fly, and was second in both the 100 back and 100 fly. She also helped Bentley win one relay and finish second in two others, with all three posting better times than the existing pool records.
For the meet, Kaduboski amassed a total of 101 points out of a possible 110.
Bentley concludes the first semester portion of its schedule Saturday in Vermont with a triangular meet against Norwich and Regis.
