GOLDEN, Colo. (Nov. 29, 2010) – Colorado School of Mines’ Dale Minschwaner has been selected as the RMAC / Baden Defensive Player of the Week, as announced today by the Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference.
A 6’6”, 215-lb. junior center from Albuquerque, N.M. (Sandia Prep), Minschwaner recorded his RMAC-best third double-double of the season (13 points, 13 rebounds) as CSM defeated Saint Martin’s University by the score of 80-62 on Saturday night, November 27th, at Lockridge Arena. Minschwaner, who was selected as the RMAC / Baden Offensive Player of the Week on November 22nd, had eight defensive rebounds and three steals while tying his career high in assists (five) against Saint Martin’s.
Minschwaner is currently ranked first on the team and second in the RMAC in rebounding (10.5 rpg), as well as second on the team and fifth in the conference in scoring (17.0 ppg). Minschwaner is also ranked second in the RMAC in offensive rebounds per game (4.0), fourth in defensive rebounds per game (6.5) and 15th in assists per game (tied – 1.8).
The Orediggers (4-0 overall) will begin the RMAC portion of their schedule by hosting Colorado Christian University on Saturday, December 4th, at 8:00 p.m. at Lockridge Arena.
