ROCK HILL, S.C. --- Tusculum College point guard Jasmine Gunn has been named the South Atlantic Conference women's basketball Player of the Week announced league officials Monday. For Gunn, this marks the sixth time in her career she has garnered SAC Player of the Week recognition, the most times in school history.

The two-time All-American guard scored a season-high 28 points and added four steals in 27 minutes against Lewis, and tallied a team-best 23 points and dished out five assists in the victory over host Indianapolis.

Gunn also averaged 3.5 rebounds, 3.0 assists and 3.0 steals in the two games while shooting 48.3 percent from the field.

The Antioch High School graduate leads the Pioneers in scoring averaging 18.8 points per game, which is fifth in the league. Gunn is also sixth in the conference in free throw percentage (82.9%), tied for 11th in steals (2.00 spg) and 11th in minutes played per game (30.80 mpg).

She is the reigning SAC and Southeast Region Player of the Year and was the NCAA Division II Preseason National Player of the Year by Women's DII Bulletin.

Following Monday's non-conference contest at King College, the Pioneers will travel to Newberry College this Saturday for a 4 p.m. contest in TC's league lid-lifter.
