PENSACOLA, Fla. – The Harding volleyball team saw its season end Saturday in the semifinals of the Gulf South Conference Tournament. Harding fell 3-1 to 20th-ranked West Florida and finished the season 18-11 overall. Game scores were 25-19, 25-18, 22-25, 25-22.
Freshman Molly Arnold led Harding with 19 kills and was one of three Lady Bisons with 10 or more. Jordan Smith added 14 kills and Samantha Anderson had 12.
Harding had more kills than West Florida, 62-57, but the Lady Bisons also had 27 attack errors to 13 for the Lady Argos. Fifteen of Harding’s errors came on blocks by West Florida.
Emily Tate led Harding with 25 digs, and Arnold added 18 for her 16th double-double of the season. Setter Amber Schinzing had 49 assists and 17 digs.
West Florida (27-6) advances to the GSC Tournament championship to take on North Alabama.
