WALTHAM, Mass.-- The Bentley University women’s swimming and diving team claimed every event en route to a 140-89 win over visiting UMass-Dartmouth Saturday afternoon at the Dana Center pool.
Seniors Anne Kaduboski (Dedham/Dedham HS) and Emily Travers (Brentwood, N.H./Exeter HS) each won two individual events for the 3-0 Falcons, as did junior Susie Boretti (Westford/Westford Academy), sophomore Jessica Hodsdon (Brewer, Maine/Brewer HS) and freshman Kellen Power (San Jose, Calif./Valley Christian HS).
Kaduboski reached the finish line first in both the 400 yard individual medley (4:46.21) and the 100 backstroke (1:02.55). Hodsdon’s wins came in the 100 freestyle (55.72) and the 100 breaststroke (1:08.29). Both were also part of the Falcons’ winning 400 medley relay team, which swam to a 4:10.56.
Boretti swept the long distance events, with times of 11:21.76 in the 1000 freestyle and 5:30.19 in the 500 free. Travers did the same in the diving, with scores of 2:21.84 in the one-meter and 249.37 on the three-meter. Powers swam to victory in the 100 butterfly (1:01.53) and the 200 free (2:00.78).
The other individual win for the Falcons was posted by freshman Jae Shin (Lancaster/Nashoba Reg. HS) in the 50 free, with a time of 25.81 seconds.
Bentley is off until the Northeast-10 Invitational next month.
