Sixteenth-Rated Minnesota State Mavericks Dominate Beavers Friday, 3-0

Beekman Tallies 13 Kills, Fogarty killed 10 Hits

Mankato, Minn. --- The Minnesota State volleyball squad swept the Bemidji State Beavers Friday, 3-0. MSU dominated each set, beating the Beavers by scores of 25-23, 25-15 and 25-15.

With the win, MSU reached the 20-win mark for the 13th time in program history.

Senior outside hitter Amanda Beekman racked up a team-best 13 kills, while freshman outside hitter Chelsea Fogarty tallied 10 on the night. Sophomore right-side hitter Megan Ysker led the Mavericks with a .462 hitting percentage.

Junior setter Brittany Stamer paced MSU with 40 assists.

Defensively, sophomore defensive specialist Samantha Dale finished with 18 digs.

The Beavers were led by Nicole Olson who finished with 11 kills.

The Mavericks (20-7, 12-7 NSIC) will wrap up the regular season with a NSIC showdown against #7 Minnesota Duluth, tomorrow afternoon at 4:00 p.m. at Taylor Center.
