Merrimack Women’s Cross Country Places 7th at Northeast Regionals

LOWELL, MA – The Merrimack women’s cross country team, ranked seventh in the east region, raced to a seventh-place finish at the Northeast Regionals.

Rebecca Ainscow (Derry, NH) was the Warriors’ top runner, placing 21st in 23:49, while Anne Bajor (Methuen, MA) was 31st in 23:55. Fiona Coleman (Windsor, CT) was 56th, dramatically improving on her last race, while Christina Fisher (Mansfield Center, CT), Caitlin Kasala-Halinan (Worcester, MA) and Kacey Pickett (Plymouth, MA) also finished in the top-90.

AIC’s Jeptui Cherutich was the top runner, while SCSU’s Alasia Griebel was second.

Stonehill captured the overall race, whith Saint Rose second and Southern Connecticut third.
