Jacob Kahnke gained first place honors in the 285-pound division at the 2010 Holiday Inn/Husky Open on Saturday, Dec. 11 in St. Cloud. Kahnke posted a perfect 4-0 record in tournament action. His road to the title include a fall over Jordan Stenson of U-Mary, a fall over unattached wrestler Cory Endres and an 8-2 decision against UW-Parkside’s James Malecheck in the semis. In the title match, Kahnke rolled to a 4-0 win over Minnesota’s Jacob Kettler. Kahnke was ranked #2 in the nation in the latest Division II poll at 285-pounds. His record this winter stands at 10-2.
