Gannon's Cook Named to Daktronics All-Super Region One Football Second Team

ERIE, Pa. - Gannon’s Chris Cook (Cleveland, Ohio/Shaw) has been named to the Daktronics All-Super Region One football second team released Wednesday afternoon.

Cook posted 65 tackles (37 solo, 28 assisted), one tackle for a loss (11 yards), four interceptions, four pass break-ups, two fumble recoveries and one forced fumble. The junior cornerback ranked seventh among PSAC players in interceptions per game (0.36) and 36th in tackles per game (5.9). A two-time All-PSAC selection, he ranked 55th among all NCAA Division II players in interceptions per game.

The Cleveland, Ohio, native reached double digits in tackles twice. Cook ranks fourth all-time at Gannon with 11 career interceptions. He set a school record with a 100-yard interception return for a touchdown against Clarion.

Gannon concluded the 2010 campaign with a 6-5 record for the second consecutive season, marking the program’s first back-to-back winning seasons since 1995.
