RUTHERFORD, N.J. – Felician College senior Quay Baskerville (Hartford, CT/Bulkeley) has been chosen as the Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference Women’s Basketball Player of the Week, the CACC announced today. The conference also selected Felician freshman Katrina Plummer (West Babylon, NY/North Babylon) as this week’s Women’s Basketball Rookie of the Week.
Baskerville, a 5-foot-10 power forward, led the Golden Falcons to three victories in a four-day span last week, averaging 18.3 points, 8.3 rebounds and 4.0 steals in that stretch. She posted a double-double of 17 points and 11 boards in Felician’s conference opener against Concordia (N.Y.) College on Wednesday, then was named the Most Valuable Player of the 46th Annual Pocono Classic, hosted by East Stroudsburg University on Friday and Saturday.
Felician is 5-1 overall and 1-0 in CACC play, and has won five consecutive games. Baskerville, a 2010 third-team all-CACC honoree, tops Felician this season with 17.5 points and 9.2 rebounds per contest.
Plummer, a 5-foot-10 small forward, averaged 11.0 points, 6.7 rebounds and 3.3 steals in the three victories, including a season-high 15 points in Saturday’s win at East Stroudsburg. For the season, she contributes 8.0 points and 5.8 rebounds in 24.0 minutes per game. She is a 2010 graduate of North Babylon High.
