Kansas City, KS (12/14/10) – Chance Bukoski (Kapaa, HI, Kapaa High School) has been named HPU men’s soccer’s first-ever NCAA All-American. Bukoski was selected to the 2010 National Soccer Coaches Association of America Division II All-America Third Team, announced today the NSCAA national office.
The junior foward received the honor after earning All-West Region and First-Team All-PacWest honors. Bukoski had a stellar season for the Sea Warriors in which he produced 13 goals and eight assists. He finished the year second in the PacWest in total points (34), game-winners (5), points per game (2.12), goals and goals per game (0.81), and topped the league in assists and in assists per game (0.50).
Bukoski was named First-Team All-PacWest for the third consecutive season. He guided the Sea Warriors to a 12-6 overall record and a second place conference finish for the third straight season. Bukoski was the lone player selected from the Hawai‘i schools, and one of the three PacWest representatives.
The NSCAA is the largest soccer coaches’ organization in the world. In addition to a national rankings program for colleges and high schools, the NSCAA offers an extensive recognition program that presents nearly 10,000 individual awards every year.
